NOWSHERA: District administration of Nowshera organised a colourful car show and rally on the occasion of Independence Day Celebrations.
On the occasion of Independence Day, the Nowshera district administration organised a magnificent car show and car rally, in which a large number of citizens participated enthusiastically.
Citizens decorated their vehicles beautifully with Pakistani flags, pennants and green and white colours. After the car show, the car rally started from Government Girls College, which passed through Hakimabad and culminated at the college parking lot.
At the end of the ceremony, cash prizes and certificates were distributed among the 10 youths who decorated the best cars.
On this occasion, Assistant Commissioner Nowshera Sahra Tawab, while talking to Pakhtoon Digital, said that “Independence Day is not just a day, it is a passion of patriotism, and the full participation of the youth is a reflection of this patriotism.
The participants also expressed sympathies with the affected families of Bajaur during the military operation and appealed to the government to ensure peace and tranquillity and allow the people to celebrate Independence Day.
As August 14 is being celebrated across Pakistan, several districts of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are facing an imminent threat of terrorism and militancy, where a large number of people have migrated to other parts of the country.
The security forces have launched an operation in Bajaur Tehsil, Mamond, where 0.4 million people have been displaced.
