ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister (DPM) and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar on Sunday thanked the United Kingdom for its solidarity and readiness to assist Pakistan in relief and recovery efforts following the recent floods.
Dar expressed these views in a telephone conversation with UK Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs David Lammy, who extended condolences over the tragic loss of lives caused by flash floods. Lammy reaffirmed the UK’s support for Pakistan during this difficult time and also wished Dar a productive visit to London.
The Deputy Prime Minister said he looked forward to continued engagement with the UK leadership to further strengthen bilateral ties.
