MANSEHRA: The Mansehra district police officer, Shafiullah Gandapur, suspended a police officer of the investigation wing. Notices were also issued to the station house officer and other investigation officials over the poor investigation in a case registered at Ogi police station.
A statement issued by the district police officer, Shafiullah Gandapur, on Tuesday stated that a police official of the investigation wing has been suspended, while two others, including SHO, have been issued show-cause notices directing them to submit a reply within seven days of receiving it.
The DPO Mansehra clarified that negligence will not be tolerated in the investigation process, while transparency and merit will be ensured in the police system.
He directed the SSP Investigation to monitor the investigation process itself and take immediate steps to make it more transparent and effective.
The DPO Mansehra said that the process of punishment will continue in the police department so that there is no obstacle in the provision of justice to the people.
He directed the police officers to discharge their duties with honesty, hard work and integrity so that the rule of law can be ensured.
