SOUTH WAZIRISTAN: A police vehicle travelling from Wana to Tehsil Toi Khullah came under attack by unidentified assailants, leaving Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Rakhmeen critically injured and one police constable missing, police sources confirmed on Wednesday.
According to initial reports, the attack occurred while the police convoy was en route on a routine patrol. The wounded DSP was immediately shifted to the hospital for urgent medical treatment, while a search operation is currently underway to locate the missing officer. Law enforcement officials have launched a formal investigation into the incident, and security in the area has been heightened in response to the attack. Police have not yet released any information regarding the identity or affiliation of the attackers. Authorities have condemned the assault and vowed to bring those responsible to justice.
