Earthquake jolts many parts of KP

PESHAWAR: Strong tremors were felt in several districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Thursday, including Swat and its adjoining areas, Mardan, Upper Dir, Kurram, Lower Dir, Kalam, Abbottabad, Bannu, Bajaur, and Nowshera.

Residents of Nowshera, Shangla, North Waziristan, and South Waziristan also reported experiencing the earthquake.

According to the Seismological Centre, the earthquake measured 5.9 in magnitude, with a depth of 111 kilometers. Its epicenter was located in the Hindu Kush mountain range.

Authorities and emergency departments are closely monitoring the situation, while citizens have been advised to remain cautious.
