ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan issued the list of the four women candidates of Pakistan Muslim League(N) who have been nominated on party reserved seats for membership of the National Assembly.
The names include Nargis Ali, Syeda Sonia, Samar Haroon Bilour, wife of Shaheed ANP leader Haroon Bilour and Saeeda Jamshed, wife of Shaheed PML-N MPA Jamshed Khan. The scrutiny of documents of these reserved candidates will be held on July 14, 2025, after which two candidates will be finalised on the remaining reserved quota.
Former ANP MPA, Samar Haroon Bilour, recently joined the Pakistan Muslim League(N) after she held an important meeting with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. As per the court decision, Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf was declared not entitled to seats reserved for women and non-Muslims. The ECP had allotted five out of 10 MNA seats reserved for women from KP to PML-N, three to Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam and two to PPP.
