Eid-ul-Fitr to attract huge crowds to KP’s popular tourist destinations

PESHAWAR: A large number of tourists are expected to arrive in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s tourist destinations on Eid-ul-Fitr.

A detailed review of the provision of facilities and security arrangements to tourists in the province’s tourist destinations of Hazara and Malakand divisions on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr was conducted.

It was decided to keep all institutions, including the administration, police, Rescue 1122, Tehsil Municipal Administration, and medical centers in the tourist districts on high alert during the Eid-ul-Fitr holidays.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has directed all commissioners, RPOs, Deputy Commissioners, DPOs, and Assistant Commissioners in tourist destinations to be present at their stations during the Eid-ul-Fitr holidays.

Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has issued instructions that special attention should be paid to ensuring the availability of petrol and diesel as well as food items in sufficient quantities during the Eid holidays.

The Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has said that in case of any untoward situation, an effective coordination system should be developed between the local administration, rescue agencies, medical centers and all relevant stakeholders for immediate action, and information banners should be displayed for tourists at the entry points of all districts. Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has further said that the provincial government will provide all possible cooperation to the local administration in this regard. Special arrangements have been made to operate traffic on the roads of tourist destinations in an orderly manner and to avoid possible road closures. The availability of necessary medical staff and medicines has been ensured in all health centers for the timely provision of emergency medical assistance.
