Eidul Adha 2025: Suparco predicts likely date for Pakistan

The Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (Suparco) on Monday predicted the likely date for Eidul Adha 2025.

According to a spokesperson for Suparco, the age of the moon at sunset today will be 18 hours and 51 minutes.

The spokesperson said that the duration of sunset and moonrise in the coastal areas of the country is expected to be 53 minutes, based on which there are chances of seeing the moon.

The spokesperson for Suparco added that, according to astronomical parameters, the weather is expected to be clear in the evening, which further increases the chances of sighting. According to the spokesperson, the first of Dhul-Qadah is likely to be on April 29.

However, the final announcement of the sighting of the moon in Pakistan will be made by the Ruet-e-Hilal Committee. If the moon of Dhul-Qadah is seen today, then Eid-ul-Adha is likely to be celebrated on June 7, while if the month age was 29 days, then Eid-ul-Adha can be celebrated on June 6.
