Eight drug peddlers, including foreign national arrested

 

ISLAMABAD: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) on Thursday arrested eight suspects, including a foreign national and recovered illegal drugs from their possession.

According to details, the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) arrested a suspect near a college in Mansehra and recovered 450 grams of hashish from his possession.

The arrested suspect confessed that he used to sell drugs to students of educational institutions.

The Anti-Narcotics Force, while cracking down on drug smuggling in different cities and educational institutions of the country, arrested eight suspects in seven operations.

A Nigerian national and a woman are among those arrested.

During the operations, 46.98 kilograms of drugs worth more than Rs 38.1 million were recovered.

A woman was arrested on the M-1 motorway near Islamabad and 4.8 kilograms of opium and 7.2 kilograms of hashish were recovered from her possession.

In another operation on the same motorway, eight.4 kg of hashish was recovered from a vehicle and two suspects were arrested. In another operation, two.4 kg of hashish was recovered from a suspect riding a passenger bus on the M-1 motorway.
