ESSI provides healthcare to over 67,000 workers in KP

PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Employees’ Social Security Institution (ESSI) provided medical care to thousands of workers and their families in the first 10 months of the current fiscal year (2024-2025).

According to a performance report, ESSI doctors examined 67,462 laborers from different industries at outpatient departments (OPDs). Additionally, 13,807 patients received treatment at cardiology departments, while 11,940 women were treated in gynecology departments.

The institution also performed 4,029 ECG tests, 2,580 echocardiograms (ECO), and 1,500 ultrasounds. Minor surgeries and maternity services were also provided, including 30 minor surgeries, 42 successful deliveries, and 349 gynecology admissions.

ESSI conducted a total of 83,720 medical tests, ensuring quality healthcare for registered workers. The organization has pledged further improvements to deliver better medical and financial support to employees.
