ISLAMABAD: Former Prime Minister and Awam Pakistan Party Chairman Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has said India’s move to block Pakistan’s water is an extremely aggressive act.
Speaking to Pakhtun Digital, he warned that both India and Pakistan are nuclear-armed countries, and rising tensions serve no one’s interest.
Abbasi criticised India for blaming Pakistan for the Pahalgam attack without providing any evidence. He said such actions violate diplomatic norms and international law.
He called India a hostile neighbor that never misses an opportunity to target Pakistan.
Abbasi pointed out that India is involved in terrorist activities in Balochistan, where evidence of its involvement exists. However, he added, Pakistan never accused India without proof and instead faced the threats directly.
He said India should focus on resolving its own internal issues.
Abbasi accused Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi of leveling baseless accusations to boost his own popularity. He warned that such tactics harm both nations.
