MARDAN: The Mardan district Excise police on Wednesday arrested a Burqa-clad man and his accomplice ‘drug peddlers’ who were smuggling Hashish via Charsadda road.
According to a statement issued by the Excise Police Mardan region, the Excise police party has foiled drug smuggling and apprehended two drug peddlers, one was clad in woman’s Burqa.
The police statement said the attempt to smuggle drugs by the burqa-clad man had failed and recovered 2400 grams of Hashish from their possession and registered a case against them in the Excise police station Mardan.
Excise police said that the raid was conducted on Chasadda road and both the accused had been arrested on the spot, a case was registered at Excise Police Station Mardan.
The police identified the suspects as Muhammad Rizwan and Naseebullah, residents of Tank.
Excise police have started further interrogation into the case after lodging FIR against the suspects.
