Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Takes Action, Tells Factories to Control Emissions

PESHAWAR: A high-level meeting was held on Monday to discuss administrative and environmental challenges facing industries in Peshawar Division. The session, chaired by Abdul Karim Tordher, Special Assistant to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister on Industries, took place in the Industries Department’s committee room.

Key concerns raised during the meeting included environmental pollution and hazardous emissions from factories in Peshawar. Commissioner Peshawar pointed out that industrial transport vehicles carrying excessive loads were damaging road infrastructure, adding to the city’s growing infrastructure woes.

Officials discussed multiple proposals to address these issues, though no immediate decisions were announced.
