FBR’s new anti-smuggling fund offers Rs. 500,000 rewards for tips

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has established a new Customs Command Fund to strengthen anti-smuggling efforts across the country. Under this initiative, informants who provide credible tips about smuggling activities will receive advance payments, with rewards of up to Rs. 500,000 for verified information leading to seizures.

The fund will also cover operational expenses for anti-smuggling campaigns and provide special rewards to customs officers who demonstrate exceptional performance in intercepting illegal goods. This move aims to incentivize both public participation and officer efficiency in curbing the smuggling trade.
