Federal government announces public holiday

 

The federal government on Tuesday announced a public holiday across the country on May 1 (Thursday) on the eve of International Workers’ Day.

According to a notification issued by the Ministry of Interior, all government and private institutions will remain closed on May 1.

On this occasion, the State Bank of Pakistan has also announced that all banks will remain closed on Wednesday.

It should be noted that “Labour Day” is celebrated every year on May 1 around the world for the rights of workers, the aim of which is to pay tribute to the services of the working class and highlight their problems.
