Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan, Engineer Amir Muqam, has stated that the recent floods have resulted in significant loss of life and property across the entire Malakand division, including Swat. He announced that the federal government will provide Rs 2 million in compensation to the families of the deceased.
Amir Muqam also mentioned that efforts are underway to restore electricity and communication systems in the flood-affected areas and that immediate actions have been taken to repair the roads.
He expressed gratitude for the full support provided by security agencies during this challenging time. Furthermore, on the instructions of the Prime Minister, he has delivered relief supplies to Swat today to ensure that immediate assistance is given to the victims.
