ABBOTTABAD: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on Saturday arrested two persons from Abbottabad posing as senior army officers.
The suspect Muhammad presented themselves as military officers and offering people lucrative contracts in Army institutions.
The FIA Deputy Director Muhammad Iqbal stated that the group was also damaging the defence sector’s reputation.
The FIA Cyber Crime Circle conducted a joint operation and apprehended the suspects. The team also recovered a large number of fake SIM cards and identity documents from their possession.
Yesterday, the Federal Investigation Agency claimed to have arrested two alleged human traffickers who are involved in sending Afghan nationals to Italy on fake Pakistani documents.
Acting on tip-off from its Italy link office, a FIA team raided Waziristan Plaza in Saddar, Peshawar and arrested two human smugglers. The arrested agents have been identified as Shafiullah and Khurshid. The accused were involved in sending Afghan citizens to Italy on fake Pakistani passports.
During the interrogation, it was also revealed that they were sending Afghanistan nationals on fake Pakistan travelling documents to Saudi Arabia via Kabul.
