Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Hilal Jurat, Nishan-e-Imtiaz (Military) has issued special instructions regarding the rehabilitation of the flood-affected people in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
He has said that the Pakistan Army deployed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will fully cooperate in helping the flood victims, and additional military troops are also being dispatched in this regard.
The Pakistan Army has dedicated one day’s salary for the rehabilitation of the flood victims, while about 600 tons of rations have also been allocated for relief operations.
The Corps of Engineers has been directed to complete the repair work of bridges as soon as possible, and temporary bridges should also be constructed wherever necessary.
The Rescue Sniffing Dog Unit of the Army’s Ninth Unit and the Special Urban Search and Rescue Team have also been deployed to assist in the rescue operations.
In addition, Pakistan Army helicopters and Army Aviation units are already engaged in relief work in the affected areas.
The Field Marshal said that the Pakistan Army stands with the brave people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in every hour of difficulty, and all possible steps are being taken to fully support them.
