Field Marshal visits flood-affected areas, meets Sikh pilgrims

Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir visited the flood-affected areas and reviewed the ongoing relief and rescue activities, he also meet with leaders of Sick Community and assured them his full cooperation.

According to the Public Relations Department (ISPR) of the Pakistan Army, the Field Marshal visited Sialkot sector, Shakargarh, Narowal and Kartarpur, and the Army Chief was given a detailed briefing on the flood situation, damages and ongoing rescue operations.

During the visit, the Field Marshal appreciated and praised the timely steps and efforts taken by the army and civil administration. The Field Marshal also conducted an aerial survey of the affected areas. During his visit to Darbar Sahib in Kartarpur, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir met the Sikh community and assured them of the complete restoration of religious places.

Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir said that all holy places, including Darbar Sahib Kartarpur will be restored to their original condition. The Field Marshal further said that the state will leave no stone unturned to protect the rights of minorities and their places of worship.

The Sikh community warmly welcomed the Field Marshal and appreciated his sincerity and assurances. According to the ISPR, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir also praised the performance and prompt response of the civil administration for providing immediate relief during the floods.
