MALAKAND:A fierce wildfire in the Naugran Shikaru mountain range has entered its fifth day despite relentless firefighting efforts. The blaze, fueled by dry plants and extreme weather, has spread quickly through the rough terrain.
Firefighters from Rescue 1122, along with local volunteers, civil defense teams, and forest officials, managed to put out the flames on Al Dhand mountain. However, other areas remain burning.
District Emergency Officer Nasir Khan wrote on Facebook that the operation faces major hurdles, including no proper roads, extreme heat, and strong winds. Rescue teams are working hard but need better weather to fully control the fire.
