FIR lodged by CTD following attack on Maulana Khanzeb

Rs10 million grant approved in honour of Shaheed Maulana Khanzeb

The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Friday lodged a first information report (FIR) following a deadly attack on the Awami National Party’s noted leader, Maulana Khanzeb, in Bajaur Nawagai area. The terrorist attack had claimed the life of Maulana Khanzeb and his accomplice police personnel.

On Friday, CTD Khyber Pakhtunkhwa lodged an FIR under sections 302, 324,  427 of PPC and 7 of ATA against unknown attackers.

Maulana Khanzeb was martyred along with his security guard, while two persons were injured in the attack in the Nawagai area of Bajaur on Thursday, which had left shocking waves across the country.

A leader of the Awami National Party (ANP), Maulana Khanzeb, was killed in the firing by unknown persons.

The firing incident took place in the Shindai Mor area of ​​Bajaur, where unknown persons opened fire on Maulana Khanzeb’s vehicle, resulting in his serious injuries.

He was shifted to the hospital in a serious condition, but he succumbed to his injuries. It is reported that one of his colleagues was killed in the firing.

He was campaigning for the peace parade, scheduled for July 13, along with his colleagues.
