FIR names Aleema Khan, Naeem Panjutha in journalist assault case outside Adiala Jail

RAWALPINDI: A case has been registered at Saddar Bairooni Police Station, Rawalpindi, against senior PTI leaders and workers for allegedly assaulting journalist Tayyab Baloch outside Adiala Jail.

According to police, Baloch submitted a complaint stating he was attacked by PTI workers outside the prison. Acting on his report, police booked several PTI figures and initiated legal proceedings.

The FIR names Aleema Khan (sister of PTI founder), party lawyer Naeem Panjotha, and Intisar Satti among the accused, along with 40 unidentified PTI workers allegedly involved in the assault.

Section 147: Rioting

Section 149: Unlawful assembly

Section 382: Theft after preparation for causing hurt

Section 427: Mischief causing damage
