At least two people were killed in a firing incident that took place in the Jalala Paraw area of Mardan city on Friday late at night.
According to the police, unknown armed men opened indiscriminate fire at the victims, killing them on the spot. According to rescue sources, two people were killed in the firing in Jalala Padao, whose bodies have been shifted to the Tehsil headquarters hospital, Jalala Mardan.
The deceased in the incident have been identified as Sajid Ali, a resident of Jalala, and Khalid, a resident of Charsadda.
The police have started an investigation into the incident. Police said the motive behind the double murder could not be immediately ascertained. However, they had lodged an FIR against unknown suspects and initiated further interrogation into the incident.
