First climate-controlled traffic cabin opens in Peshawar with learner permit services

PESHAWAR: The Peshawar Traffic Police have launched their first modern traffic cabin in the city. Located in front of the Sharqi Police Station, this new facility aims to serve both citizens and traffic officials.

The cabin will provide citizens with services like obtaining learner’s driving permits. To ensure officials’ comfort and efficiency, the cabin is equipped with air conditioning, fans, and cold water, protecting them from harsh weather like heat and rain. Large transparent glass windows allow officials inside to easily monitor traffic flow.

Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Haroon Rashid Khan stated that improving the city’s traffic system and ensuring the welfare of traffic police officials are top priorities. He emphasized there will be “no compromise on the health and safety of officials.” He also highlighted that the cabin will offer “immediate guidance, information, and convenience to citizens.”

This cabin marks a modern initiative by the Peshawar Traffic Police. They are now considering installing similar cabins at other major intersections across the city to expand these ben

efits.
