First T20, Bangladesh wins toss, elects to field against Pakistan

Bangladesh won the toss and elected to field first in the opening match of the three-match T20 series being held in Dhaka. The host team captain, Liton Das, invited the visiting team, Pakistan, to bat.

The opening ceremony for the series took place yesterday at a local hotel, where both team captains, Salman Ali Agha and Liton Das, unveiled the trophy and participated in a photo session.

The local meteorological department has predicted rain today, which is likely to affect the match. The second and third T20 matches between Pakistan and Bangladesh are scheduled for July 22 and July 24, respectively, at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium.

The last T20 series between the two teams was played in Pakistan in May, where the Green Shirts swept Bangladesh 3-0. Salman Ali Agha is leading the national team, which includes players such as Abrar Ahmed, Ahmed Daniyal, Faheem Ashraf, Fakhar Zaman, Hassan Nawaz, Hussain Talat, Khushdil Shah, and Muhammad Abbas Afridi. Wicketkeepers Muhammad Haris, Muhammad Nawaz, Sahibzada Farhan, Saim Ayub, Salman Mirza, and Sufyan Muqim are also part of the squad.
