Five Indian-sponsored militants killed in failed attack on FC HQ in Bannu

BANNU: Five Indian-sponsored militants were killed as security forces successfully thwarted an attempted attack on the Federal Constabulary (FC) Headquarters in Bannu on Tuesday.

According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Indian-sponsored militants known as Fitna Al-Khawarij attempted to breach the FC compound by ramming an explosives-laden vehicle into the perimeter wall of the headquarters.

The explosion partially damaged the wall and caused harm to nearby civilian infrastructure. Emergency response teams and security personnel quickly arrived at the scene to contain the situation.

ISPR further added that in the intense gun battle that followed the explosion, five militants were killed. However, the confrontation also claimed the lives of six brave FC and Pakistan Army personnel who fought valiantly to repel the attack.
