PESHAWAR: Five of a family were killed in an old enmity on Sunday morning when their car was attacked by rivals in Badaber area, locality of Peshawar.
According to the police preliminary reports, the slain family was travelling towards home when their rivals, equipped with weapons waiting for them on the road, opened fire on their vehicle, killing them all instantly.
Police have lodged an FIR on the complaint of Malak Arshad against Imtiaz, Ali Gohar, Sarfaraz and Shoaib, residents of Mashu Khel, Badaber Peshawar.
The deceased were identified as Malak Aman, Nahid, Maqsood, Imdad and Razim, son of Murad Khan, residents of Anezi, Mashukhel, Peshawar.
Police shifted the dead bodies to the hospital for autopsy and later handed over to their heirs.
Police, however, lodged an FIR under section 302 of the Pakistan penal code against the accused and began searching for their arrest.
Police said the motive behind the five murders is an old enmity, however, police making efforts to apprehend the killers as soon as possible.
