PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Food Safety and Halal Food Authority conducted raids against the adulteration mafia across the province on Tuesday.
A spokesperson of the KP Food Authority said that its team raided a Namco Production Unit in Mardan and recovered 1,136 Kilos of Substandard oil.
Non-food grade colour was also recovered from the factory.
The Food Authority sealed the factory and initiated further legal action.
The Food Authority teams also set up roadblocks on main highways in DI Khan, Swat and Bannu and inspected food vehicles.
During inspections, 300 liters of substandard milk were seized and destroyed in Swat. The authority also imposed a fine.

Food department officials also raided general stores, kebab hotels, milk vendors and butchers in Peshawar and checked official price lists.
The authority also registered FIRs against 13 shopkeepers for overstocking.
