BAJAUR: An iftar dinner was organised at Civil Colony Khar Bajaur on Sunday on the eve of Pakistan Day for the families of police martyrs.
According to the statement issued by the Bajaur Police, they organized a grand Iftar ceremony for the families of police martyrs, in which the political, social and administrative leadership of the district participated.
The ceremony was also held to present gifts to the children of the martyrs to pay tribute to the sacrifices of the martyrs and express solidarity with their families to share joys with them.
DPO Waqas Rafique, while talking to the media, said that the police martyrs were our real heroes, who sacrificed their lives to maintain peace in this region.
He said that the families of the martyrs were the collective responsibility of all of us, and it was our duty to take care of them.
DPO said the purpose of this ceremony was not just to organise Iftar but to give a collective message that the nation would never forget its martyrs and the comfort and support of their families would always continue.
