Six Terrorists Killed in Intelligence-Led Operation in Karak, KP

RAWALPINDI: Security forces killed nine terrorists in two separate intelligence-based operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the military’s media wing stated on Saturday.

According to the statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), an operation was conducted in Mohmand district based on intelligence reports.

“During the conduct of operation, own troops effectively engaged the khawarijs’ location, resultantly, seven khawarij were sent to hell,” the ISPR said.

However, during intense fire exchange, two brave sons of soil – Havildar Muhammad Zahid (age: 37 years, resident of District Malakand), and Sepoy Aftab Ali Shah (age: 26 years, resident of District Chitral) – embraced martyrdom while fighting the terrorists, the ISPR added.

In another encounter in the Maddi area of Dera Ismail Khan, security forces killed two more terrorists and recovered weapons and ammunition from their possession.

The ISPR stated that the slain terrorists were involved in multiple acts of terrorism, and a clearance operation is underway to eliminate any remaining threats in the area.

“Sanitization operations are being conducted to eliminate any other Kharji found in the area as the security forces of Pakistan are determined to wipe out the menace of terrorism from the country,” the statement read.
