Former PM Azad Kashmir Sardar Abdul Qayyum arrested in May 9 riots

The Former Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), Sardar Abdul Qayyum Niazi, has been arrested on his way from Samahani to Bhimber.

According to the sources, the President of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Abdul Qayyum, has been arrested following the orders of Prime Minister AJK Chaudary Anwar-ul-Haq.

The former Prime Minister was scheduled to attend rallies in Bhimber and Barnala, sources added.

According to the initial reports, it is said that the Former PM is arrested in a case related to May 09. Earlier, the Islamabad High Court (IHC) issued an arrest warrant for Sardar Abdul Qayyum.

Soon, the President of PTI will be handed over to the Islamabad Police, where further investigation will be conducted.
