The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) issued a report on losses and property damage due to heavy rains and flash floods, stating that four people have drowned in various nullahs across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
In the last 24 hours, a total of five people have died and one individual has been injured in various incidents related to the heavy rains and flash floods in the province. The deceased include one man, two women, and two children, while the injured individual is a child.
The report also indicates that one house was destroyed as a result of the rain and floods. The incidents occurred in different districts, including Buner, Malakand, and Mansehra.
The PDMA has directed the relevant district administrations to provide immediate assistance to the affected families and ensure access to quality medical facilities for the injured.
Rainfall is expected to continue until July 11. The PDMA has already issued a notice to district administrations to remain vigilant and implement preventive measures.
The PDMA is in constant communication with all district administrations and relevant relief agencies. The Emergency Operation Centre is fully operational, and the public is encouraged to report any untoward incidents by calling 1700.
