Four killed, five injured in clash over land dispute in Battagram

PESHAWAR: Four people were killed and five injured in a clash between two over a land dispute in Battagram district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Saturday.

According to the police, the incident occurred in Cham Saidan Tikri, a suburb of Battagram.

Three of the dead belonged to the same family and the fourth one belonged to another group.

The deceased included Shahzad Baji, his son Ziaullah Shah, and his brother Mazrab Shah. Anwar Ali Shah from the opposing side was also killed.

The injured were taken to District Headquarters Hospital in Battagram. The seriously injured were shifted to Ayub Medical Complex in Abbottabad. The situation in the area remains tense after the incident. A heavy police force has been deployed.

As news of the clash spread, people rushed to the hospital. No FIR has been registered yet. Police are investigating the incident.
