Four killed in Mardan firing after verbal spat

MARDAN: A violent clash erupted in Kot Ismailzai, Mardan, on Thursday, leaving four people dead after an argument escalated into gunfire.

According to DSP Sheikh Maltoon, the firing occurred between two opposing groups following a verbal altercation. The exchange of fire resulted in three fatalities from one side and one fatality from the other.

Police identified the deceased as Manzar, Hassan Zeb, Farman Zeb, and Tasbihullah. Rescue teams transported the bodies to the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital and Mardan Medical Complex (MMC) Hospital.

Local police officials stated that the exact reasons behind the initial argument and subsequent shooting are currently unknown. Police personnel quickly reached the scene, and an investigation is now underway to determine the cause and circumstances of the incident.
