Four policemen martyred in Noshki attack

QUETTA: Four police personnel were martyred in a gun attack in Noshki district, approximately 170 km from the provincial capital, on Saturday night.

According to officials, unidentified assailants ambushed a patrolling police mobile in the Gharibabad area, killing all four officers on board. The attackers, riding motorbikes, opened fire from both sides using automatic weapons.

Security forces rushed to the scene upon receiving reports and shifted the bodies to the district hospital.

“All four officers sustained multiple bullet wounds and died on the spot,” a senior police official confirmed.

The martyred officers were identified as Head Constable Nazeer Ahmed and Constables Manzoor Ahmed, Abdul Karim, and Abdul Qahir, all residents of Noshki.

A search operation has been launched to track down the assailants, but as of late Saturday night, no group had claimed responsibility for the attack.
