ISLAMABAD: French media criticised Indian government for hiding facts while airing fake videos and photos in support of the Pahalgam attack, while another old video of a couple in Pahalgam was misrepresented by linking it to the slain tourists.
French media says that the people shown in the videos shared on the internet have no connection with the Pahalgam attack, false content was also broadcast on Indian news channels, victims of fake news have come forward and clarified the facts themselves, the lack of any authentic source for the videos and images is a sign that they are fake. It should be remembered that after Pahalgam attack on tourists in Indian occupied Kashmir on April 22, the Indian government blamed Pakistan and ordered the suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty and the immediate departure of Pakistanis from the country, after which Pakistan closed its airspace for Indian flights. Pakistan also offered to conduct an international investigation into the Pahalgam incident, to which India has not responded so far, while many countries including China, Turkey and Switzerland, have supported Pakistan’s stance.
