KOHAT: The funeral prayer of Frontier Corps South personnel Lance Naik Muhammad Rashid was offered with official distinction in Kohat on Thursday.
He was targeted in the firing of unknown assailants in Lakki Marwat in the line of duty. He was laid to rest in his ancestral area with full state honours in his native village in front of a hundred well-wishers, relatives and friends.
Lance Naik Muhammad Rashid was serving the country for the last 14 years and served in unit number 226 of Pakistan army. He was targeted when he was coming home from duty.
The deteriorating law and order situation has caused major losses to the police and security forces, as recent days have witnessed a surge in terrorist activities in the southern areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
