BANNU: The funeral prayers of the martyred personnel of CTD were offered in Bannu Police Line, where large numbers of police officials and locals participated.
A smart contingent of police paid tribute to the martyred bodies and laid them to rest with official distinction. IG CTD Shaukat Abbas, RPO Bannu Sajjad Khan, DPO Bannu Saleem Abbas Kalachi, SP CTD Fazal Wahid, Commissioner Bannu and Pak Army officers and other officials also participated in the funeral prayers.
It is to be mentioned here that last night, CTD personnel Assistant Sub-Inspector Binyamin Khan, Constable Inam Khan and Constable Musawar Khan were martyred in the exchange of fire with terrorists. In the police retaliatory action, 02 terrorists were killed and many others were injured. They were taken away by their fellow terrorists and fled.AIG, RPO Bannu, DPO Bannu, SP CTD and Assistant Commissioner laid flowers on the coffin of the martyr wrapped in the national flag and offered special prayers for his eternal peace. The mortal remains of the martyred police personnel have been sent to their native places with full state honours, where they will be laid to rest with full state honours. On this occasion, Additional IG CTD issued a message and said that the martyred police personnel are our pride who sacrificed their lives for the security and survival of the country and nation. We will never forget these heroes. Terrorists cannot demoralise us with their evil intentions. We will fight them bravely and destroy their evil intentions.
RPO Bannu said that the Bannu Region Police has fought terrorism bravely and has not hesitated any sacrifice for the cause of their land, saying that they will bring the terrorists involved in this incident to justice.
