Gandapur orders high alert across KP as more rains forecast

PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has directed all district administrations to remain on high alert following weather forecasts predicting further monsoon rains in the province over the coming days.

CM Gandapur instructed officials to proactively prepare for potential rain-related dangers. He mandated the immediate presence of police, municipal staff, irrigation departments, and rescue personnel in vulnerable areas.

Emphasizing tourist safety, Gandapur ordered authorities to warn visitors about hazardous weather conditions. He also called for ensuring machinery is ready to quickly clear landslides and reopen blocked roads.

Furthermore, the Chief Minister directed that 24-hour emergency control rooms be activated in every district to monitor the situation and coordinate responses. District administrations were tasked with strictly implementing all precautionary measures to minimize

risks.
