Gang Involved in Illegal Organ Trade Arrested in Peshawar

In a significant operation, the Excise Police in Peshawar apprehended a gang engaged in the illegal sale of human organs during a raid at the M-1 Joint Check Post. Preliminary investigations indicate that the suspects were planning to sell kidneys for Rs. 280,000 each.

Police sources revealed that the gang’s ringleader, Shahzad Ali, had brought two individuals, Mohsin and Rashid, from Multan to Peshawar to finalize the sale of their kidneys. The gang reportedly targeted vulnerable and financially distressed individuals, exploiting their desperation to profit from the illegal organ trade.

During the initial probe, authorities recovered several videos from Shahzad Ali’s mobile phone, documenting the gang’s involvement in this illicit activity. These videos serve as crucial evidence of the gang’s operations and the extent of their criminal activities.

Following their arrest, the suspects were handed over to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) for further investigation. Authorities aim to dismantle the entire network and identify any additional accomplices involved in the illegal organ trade.

Police officials have emphasized that strict action will be taken against those involved in such heinous crimes, reaffirming their commitment to eradicating the illegal trade of human organs and bringing perpetrators to justice.
