Global cyber attack targets Microsoft servers, hundreds of organizations affected

Google’s potential entry into Pakistan, signaling possible future investments in the tech sector.

A sophisticated global cyber attack has hit Microsoft’s on-premise servers, impacting more than 100 organizations worldwide and putting over 8,000 servers at risk, according to reports.

Microsoft has urgently issued a security update and is instructing all users to install it immediately to protect their systems. The attack, described by experts as highly complex, has reportedly resulted in unauthorized access to sensitive information, significantly heightening global cybersecurity concerns.

Adding to the concerns, separate reports indicate fake documents were collected related to Microsoft deployments in teaching hospitals, though it’s unclear if this is directly linked to the wider attack.

US authorities, including the FBI, alongside other international cybersecurity agencies, are actively investigating the nature of the attack and identifying those responsible.
