KARACHI: Gold prices soared to a new all-time high on Wednesday in both domestic and international markets.
In Pakistan, the price of gold per tola climbed by Rs6,000 to reach Rs376,700, while 10-gram gold rose by Rs5,144 to a record Rs322,959, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
A day earlier, the yellow metal had remained stable at Rs370,700 per tola.
Globally, gold also set a fresh peak, rising $60 to $3,540 per ounce (with a $20 premium), APGJSA reported.
Meanwhile, silver prices edged up as well, with per tola rates increasing by Rs12 to Rs4,315.
