Gold prices fall for second consecutive day in Pakistan

The price of 24-karat gold per tola in the country recorded a significant increase during the last fiscal year, as a result of which gold became expensive by Rs 108,500 per tola.
According to a report by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewelers Association (APSGJA), the price of 24-karat gold per tola reached Rs 350,200 at the end of the fiscal year 2024-25, which was Rs 241,700 at the beginning of the fiscal year (June 29, 2024).
The report said that factors such as the increase in the price of gold in the international market, the depreciation of the rupee against the dollar, inflation and investor interest led to the increase in local gold prices.
The price of 10 grams of gold also increased significantly by Rs 93,000 during the fiscal year. At the beginning of last year, 10 grams of gold was worth Rs 27,219, which increased to Rs 3240.
A significant increase in gold prices was also recorded in the international market. During the financial year, the price of 10 grams of gold increased from $ 2,326 to $ 3,280, an increase of $ 950.

The price of gold has seen a big decline on the first day of the business week in the global and local markets.
According to the latest data, the price of gold has decreased by Rs 2,500 per tola, after which the price has come down to Rs 3,53,000, while the price of ten grams of gold has decreased by Rs 2,143 and the price has come down to Rs 3,26,640.
In addition, the price of 22 carat 10 grams of gold has decreased by Rs 1,964, after which the price has come down to Rs 2,77,430.
In the global market, the price of gold has decreased by $ 25 per ounce, after which gold has come down to Rs 3,310 per ounce.
