Gold prices continue to decline in Pakistan

Gold prices experienced a slight decline on Friday, both internationally and locally.

In the global bullion market, the price of gold dropped by one dollar per ounce, bringing it to $3,302. This decrease in the global market also impacted local bullion markets. The price of 24-carat pure gold per tola fell by Rs100, now priced at Rs352,900. Additionally, 10 grams of gold decreased by Rs86, settling at Rs322,555.

Conversely, there was no change in the price of silver. The price per tola of silver remained stable at Rs3,900, while 10 grams of silver continued to be priced at Rs3,344.

A grand jirga and open court was held in Mohmand tribal district under the leadership of Peshawar Division Commissioner Riaz Khan Mehsud. The event was attended by Commandant Mohmand Rifles, the Deputy Commissioner, District Police Officer, health and education officials, local government representatives, and other key stakeholders.

During the meeting, tribal elders publicly denounced non-state actors and vowed full cooperation with the government to ensure peace and stability. Commissioner Mehsud promised to strengthen the jirga system and address administrative issues on a priority basis.
