Gold prices fall after days of record highs

Gold prices fall in global and local markets amid market pressure, Updated prices in Pakistan

The steady rise in gold prices in global and local markets finally stopped on Monday. In the international market, gold fell by 3,218 per ounce. This drop also affected local prices, with gold per tola decreasing by Rs1,800 to Rs3,38,800. Similarly, the price of ten grams of gold went down by Rs1,423 to Rs2,66,261.

Just a day earlier, on Saturday, gold had hit a historic high of Rs3,40,600 per tola after an increase of Rs1,800. Meanwhile, the price of silver remained unchanged at Rs3,234 per tola.
