Gold prices fall for second consecutive day in Pakistan

Following a decline in the global market, the gold prices have become cheaper in Pakistan. The price of gold per ounce fell by $23, bringing it down to $3,340, which resulted in a noticeable decrease in the local market.

According to the All Pakistan Saraf and Jewellers Association, the price of gold per tola in Pakistan dropped by Rs2,300, now standing at Rs356,700. Additionally, the cost of 10 grams of gold decreased by Rs 1,972, bringing it to Rs 305,812.

Experts attribute this downward trend primarily to fluctuations in the value of the dollar and the decline in gold prices at the global level.

The report also indicates a decrease in silver prices, with silver per tola falling by Rs34 to Rs4,023. In the global market, the price of silver per ounce decreased by $0.34, now priced at $38.74.

It’s important to note that there was a significant decline in gold prices the previous day as well. According to data from the All Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Association, gold had become cheaper by Rs5,900 per tola, while the price for 10 grams of gold also dropped by Rs5,058.
