The price of gold surged sharply today, reaching an all-time high in both global and domestic markets.
In the international bullion market, gold rose by 86 3,310 per ounce. This increase also impacted local prices, where gold per tola jumped by Rs8,600, setting a new record at Rs348,000—the highest in the country’s history.

Similarly, the price of ten grams of gold climbed by Rs7,373, reaching Rs298,353 for the first time.
Just a day earlier, on Tuesday, the price of gold per tola had increased by Rs600, closing at Rs339,400. Meanwhile, silver per tola also saw a rise, increasing by Rs63 to Rs3,460.
