Gold rates reach another all-time high in Pakistan

KARACHI: The price of 24-karat gold in Pakistan surged to a record high on Monday, rising by Rs6,100 to trade at Rs384,000 per tola, up from Rs377,900 the previous day.

Data from the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association showed that the 10-gram rate of 24-karat gold jumped by Rs5,231 to Rs329,219 from Rs323,988. Meanwhile, 22-karat gold increased by Rs4,795 to Rs301,794, compared to Rs296,999.

Silver prices also edged higher, with 24-karat silver per tola rising by Rs23 to Rs4,338, and 10-gram silver up by Rs20 to Rs3,719.

In the international market, gold climbed $61 to $3,613 per ounce, up from $3,552 in the previous session.
