KARACHI: The rising trend in gold prices continued on Saturday, both internationally and in Pakistan’s local markets.
In the global bullion market, gold rates rose by $11 per ounce, pushing the rate to $3,356.
Following the international hike, domestic gold prices also surged. The price of 24-karat gold increased by Rs1,100 per tola, bringing it to Rs358,100. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold went up by Rs944 to settle at Rs307,013.
Silver prices saw a noticeable rise as well. In Pakistan, silver per tola climbed by Rs85 to reach Rs4,022, while 10 grams rose by Rs73 to Rs3,448.
On the global front, spot silver surged 3.9%, reaching $38.46 per ounce, its highest level since September 2011.
