Internet search giant Google has officially launched its most powerful artificial intelligence (AI) search feature, called “AI Mode,” for users in Pakistan.
The feature, which was first introduced in the United States at the beginning of this year, is now being rolled out to countries across the globe. According to Google, AI Mode is designed to be a significant upgrade from traditional searching, particularly for users conducting in-depth research, comparing products, planning trips, or seeking answers to complex questions.
The technology is powered by a custom version of Google’s advanced Gemini 2.5 AI model. Its key advantage is the ability to understand and respond to long, detailed questions all at once—a task that previously required breaking down into multiple separate searches. Initial tests show that queries in AI Mode are typically two to three times longer than traditional Google searches.
With this launch, Pakistani users can now use the feature for a variety of local needs. This includes planning domestic travel itineraries, asking detailed questions about local cuisine and recipes, and getting comprehensive answers to intricate questions without the need for multiple searches.
